• Ballast Point — City ramp onto Hillsborough Bay. Busy on weekends; go early.
• Williams Park (Alafia) — East-bay access for redfish and snook in the river mouth.

Kayak & small craft

• Bayshore kayak launches — Paddle the shoreline at first light for snook along seawalls.

• Afternoon thunderstorms stack over the bay in summer. Plan to be off open water by 2 pm June–August.
