On the water
- Doctors Pass stands up on a strong outgoing tide against a west wind. Fish the backcountry that day.
- June–September: be off open water by 1–2 pm. Storms walk west off the Everglades.
- A 16–18 ft skiff or a kayak is the tool in the Ten Thousand Islands. Deep-V belongs on the gulf wrecks.
