• Fort Myers Beach / Matanzas ramps — Direct to the pass and the gulf.
• Downtown river ramps — Tarpon and snook without leaving the city.

Kayak & small craft

• Estero Bay paddling — Mangrove tunnels, redfish, and a quieter day than the pass.

• Matanzas Pass current is real. The river is the bad-weather plan and often the better plan.
