• Clearwater Pass / Island Estates ramps — Direct gulf access. Current in the pass is no joke on a spring tide.
• Belleair Causeway — Sound-side launch for trout and redfish without committing to the gulf.

Kayak & small craft

• Beach paddleboards and kayaks — Fun in the sound; the open gulf is a different animal on a sea breeze.

• Clearwater Pass is a serious inlet. If you are new to tidal current, hire a captain for the first gulf day.
